Realization of unique traceability
management system “from farm to yarn.”
International standards for organic cotton allow tracing the process from the time the raw cotton is transported to the ginning facility to the finished product, but the scope of assessment does not include the fields. UNITO has therefore developed a unique management system called CottonID. This system enables us to realize seamless and consistent tracing from the fields to yarn.

Challenges Indian
cotton farmers are facing
There are many cotton farmers in India who could be saved by converting to organic farming. What can we do to increase the supply of organic cotton instead of competing for a few? We believe it is the core of the problem we should work for. Organic cotton is not only a solution to environmental challenges, but also to human rights issues beyond.
01 Farmers owe debts to purchase pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
02 Health hazards caused by pesticides and damage to groundwater caused by soil contamination.
03 Poverty forces many children to work instead of going to school.
04 The land is being exhausted by pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
We want to provide support
that only UNITO can do.
PBP COTTON PROJECT is a joint project of PBP COTTON Foundation and YAGI & Co., Ltd.
